Gym Assistant:  Apply your skills in a fun, fast paced and growing local gym.  A wide range of responsibility and activities await!

Examples of Duties:

-       Clean, stack, organize and maintain gym equipment
-       Greet guests and members; provide input and feedback on services and rates
-       Assistant people with registration for free trial sessions or additional information
-       Log data, sort binders, create records
-       Clean, maintain and restock bathrooms
-       Sort incoming mail, bills, and other items delivered
-       Make copies, scan, and handle other office documents
-       Take photo and video of class activities; sort and process media
-       Run Local errands
-       Assist in the preparation and execution of gym events and functions

Minimum Qualifications
-       3 months of responsible work or volunteer experience
Desired Qualifications
-       Organizational, Computer and cleaning skills
-       Pursuit of education desired
Other Licenses and Requirements
-       Must possess a valid driver’s license

CrossFit Coach:  Join the coaching staff at CrossFit Walnut Creek!  Learn, develop and implement your coaching game under the guidance of senior staff and grow into a CrossFit Coaching Powerhouse!

Examples of Duties:
-       Prepare to deliver class instruction
-       Execute the daily program
-       Respond to client feedback, injuries and limitations
-       Assist with selling and promoting retail items
-       Assist with event planning and event execution
-       Participate in staff meetings
-       Undergo training and development
-       Use exercise tools to provide accommodations
-       Write inspirational “attaboy” notes to clients
-       Provide feedback regarding injuries, modifications, and class events during meetings
-       Maintain coaches log sheet for every class
-       Provide cues and feedback for client development
-       Take on personal training sessions
-       Take on 1 on 1 CrossFit Introductory sessions

Minimum Qualifications

-       6 Months of education (equivalent to 2 semesters of full time course load) related to exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field
-       1 year training as a functional athlete, athletic competitor or related discipline
-       1 year coaching, personal training or group class instruction
-       Must possess a CrossFit Level 1 Certificate

Desired Qualifications

-       Education completed in the domain of exercise science
-       Additional certificates in other domains of expertise (Kettle Bells, Gymnastics, Weight lifting, etc.)

Other Licenses and Requirements

-       Must be CPR/AED certified
-       Must possess a valid driver’s license
-       Must submit to a background check

 

Coaching Intern

Description: Learn the ropes of coaching CrossFit programming in a group format.  Develop your skills in order to coach CrossFit classes.

Progress to CrossFit Coach, Bootcamp Commander or Sports Performance Coach will be dependent on satisfying the hours required in terms of shadowing, preparation and movement mastery.  Minimum requirements will be set based on the individual, individual’s schedule and distance to obtain required proficiency.

Examples of Duties:

-       Shadow classes, record gym logs, prepare equipment for class

-       Assist class coach in providing feedback, instructions and guidance to class participants

-       Gain confidence, knowledge, technical ability and other elements required to Coach autonomously

-       Greet daily members, passerby and family members; provide input and feedback on services and rates

-       Assistant people with registration for free trial sessions or additional information

-       Log data, sort binders, create records

-       Clean, maintain and restock bathrooms

-       Take photo and video of class activities; sort and process media

-       Run Local errand

-       Assist in the preparation and execution of gym events and functions

 

Minimum Qualifications

-       6 months of responsible work or volunteer experience

-       Ability to commit to a duration to complete the intern program

 

Desired Qualifications

-       Organizational, Computer and cleaning skills

-       Pursuit of education desired

-       Athletic, teaching, coaching or other complementary skill sets

 

Other Licenses and Requirements

-       Must possess a valid driver’s license
